PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Product identification and RFQ basis

The website supports identification and inquiry. The written quotation, approved drawing or approved sample controls the order.

Mold transport locks and retaining plates, made to your drawing. The plates fitted across the parting line to keep mold halves together while a mold is craned, stored or shipped. Send a drawing, the mold dimensions and mounting positions, or the existing plate photographed with a caliper, and we quote in writing, normally within one business day.

Read this first — the limit of what we supply

These are machined retaining plates. They are not certified lifting equipment, personnel-safety devices or machine guards, and we do not represent them as any of those things. A retaining plate holds mold halves together against the loads the responsible engineer has assessed. It is not rated for suspending a load, it does not replace a lifting eye or a sling, and no website title, image or type reference is a substitute for your own risk assessment.

The mold designer or the responsible engineer must define the load path, the mounting, the retention requirement and the handling conditions, and must approve the installation. If you are unsure whether a plate is the right control for what you are doing, that question belongs with your safety engineer before it belongs with a supplier. We would rather lose the order than have this part used as something it is not.

What we can do well

Within that boundary, these are straightforward parts to make properly, and a few details separate a good one from a nuisance:

  • Mounting must locate, not just clamp. A plate held only by bolt friction can shift under a jolt. Dowels, a shouldered register, or a close-fitting bolt in at least one hole put the load into steel rather than into friction.
  • Bolt holes are the weak point. Undersized edge distance around a hole is where these crack. Tell us the plate thickness and the fastener size and we will check the edge distance rather than machining what the drawing shows without comment.
  • Make it obvious it is fitted, and obvious it must be removed. High-visibility finish and clear marking is normal practice, and it is the cheapest part of the job. Tell us what marking you want — text, a part number, or a warning — and we will include it.
  • Open and closed positions. Many designs allow the plate to be swung or slid aside rather than fully removed. If yours does, give us both positions and the pivot or slot geometry.

What to send us

  • Plate length, width and thickness
  • Mounting-hole, dowel and fastener layout, with edge distances
  • Open and closed positions, if the plate moves rather than being removed
  • Load direction and the retention condition the engineer has specified
  • Mating mold dimensions and assembly drawing
  • Material, heat treatment, surface finish and marking requirements
  • Tolerance, quantity and destination

Documentation and confidentiality

Material certificates and dimensional inspection reports are available on request, with scope and cost confirmed in the quotation. We supply to your drawing and your specified requirements; we do not issue load ratings or safety certifications for these parts. Technical files are used to evaluate and fulfill your inquiry or order. They may be shared only with relevant manufacturing, inspection, logistics or service partners as needed. Send only files you are authorized to share. See our Privacy Policy. NDA on request from rfq@privleymold.com.

IMPORT & DOCUMENTATION BASIS

US and European quotation checkpoints

These checkpoints reduce ambiguity before a formal quotation becomes an order. Exact responsibilities are set by the written quotation, delivery term, PI and final shipping documents.

UNITED STATES

Origin and import documents

Country-of-origin information and marking requirements are reviewed for the final item and packing as applicable. We do not publish a generic tariff rate or promise a fixed import duty on the product page.

EUROPEAN UNION / UK

Importer and customs data

Where the importer or customs process requires an EORI or other identifier, the buyer or importer can provide it later in the order or shipping workflow. The initial web RFQ should not contain unnecessary sensitive identifiers.

HS CLASSIFICATION

Final item basis

HS classification is reviewed against the final shipped product and declared on shipping documents where applicable. The quotation is not a binding customs classification or tax determination.

QUALITY & COMPLIANCE

Document-backed requests only

Material certificates, inspection reports, origin statements and product-specific regulatory information are confirmed only when applicable and supported for the quoted item. No blanket CE, RoHS or REACH certification is implied.

Buyer review point

Before payment, confirm the offered specification, quantity, unit system, destination, delivery basis, requested documents, tax or duty assumptions and beneficiary details on the written quotation and formal PI.

COMMERCIAL ORDER TERMS

International RFQ order basis

Product pricing, freight, import charges, payment route and delivery responsibilities are confirmed in the formal written quotation before an order is approved.

QUOTATION SCOPEConfirmed in writing

Product, specification, quantity, inspection, packaging and commercial basis are stated before approval.

COMBINED BOM REVIEWOne quotation

Multiple products, drawings or specifications can be reviewed together when practical.

ORDER APPROVALNo automatic checkout

An RFQ becomes an order only after the written quotation, specification and payment basis are accepted.

FREIGHT & IMPORT COSTSQuoted by destination

Freight, duties, taxes, customs clearance and destination charges are stated or allocated before approval.

Delivery basis

A quotation may use FCA China, DAP or another expressly stated term. Under DAP, import clearance, duties, taxes, brokerage and destination charges are normally paid by the buyer or consignee.

DDP requests

DDP is not the default. It applies only when the formal quotation expressly states DDP, identifies the destination and lists the included cost scope.

United States and other destinations

Freight is calculated from packed weight and dimensions, destination or postal code, route, carrier and service level. No free-shipping or fixed-duty assumption is made.

PAYMENT AFTER QUOTATION APPROVALVerified business payment routes

Payment instructions are issued only after the specification, quotation and formal PI have been reviewed.

PAYPAL BUSINESSUSD payment

PayPal may be offered for an approved quotation. The payer should verify the company and order reference before authorizing payment.

COMPANY TRANSFERFormal PI details only

A verified company receiving account may be used only when the exact beneficiary and currency-specific receiving details are stated on the formal PI. Account details are not published openly.

BENEFICIARY CONTROLIndependently verify changes

Never redirect payment based only on an email or messaging-app request. Reconfirm any change through the contact details published on this website.

Anti-fraud payment rule

PRIVLEY (HONG KONG) GLOBAL COMMERCE LIMITED does not instruct business customers to send company order funds to an unverified personal account. The legal company name, currency, amount, quotation reference and beneficiary details must match the formal PI.
