Sizes are given as base × base × height in millimetres, with the mounting thread in brackets where the size has one.

What the lifter base does

The lifter base is the sliding foot that carries an angle lifter in the ejector plate. As the ejector plate rises, the lifter rod is driven up at its angle and the base slides sideways in its slot to absorb the horizontal component. Every millimetre of sideways travel the rod demands has to be available in the base's slot — that is the whole job.

Two things follow from that. The base has to slide freely under load without picking up, which is why these are nitrided rather than left soft. And the slot has to be long enough for the full stroke: a base that runs out of travel does not fail gently, it jams and bends the lifter rod on the same shot.

Standard specification

Property

Value

Material

P20 mould steel

Treatment

Nitrided

Surface hardness

900 HV

Type

A-type, single-side T-slot

Base sizes

10, 11, 12, 26 and 32 mm square

Heights

24–120 mm, depending on base size

Mounting thread

M6 on Ø26 bases, M8 on Ø32; smaller sizes are unthreaded

Supplied

Single piece

Origin

Danyang, Jiangsu, China

That is the standard specification for this part type. Measure from the ejector plate face to the underside of the rod at the home position, with the plate fully returned. If you are replacing a base on a running tool, measure the old one — do not scale from the drawing, because bases are frequently machined down at fitting.

Single-side T-slot: orientation matters

An A-type base has the T-slot on one side only.
